Application refers to LayoverLoop, the software program provided by the Company.

Cookies are small files that are placed on Your computer, mobile device or any other device by a website, containing the details of Your browsing history on that website among its many uses.
Country refers to: United Arab Emirates
Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cell phone or a digital tablet.

Personalized Layover Guide refers to the optional feature where You upload a screenshot of Your crew roster and We email You a guide tailored to Your upcoming layover destinations.

It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
Website refers to LayoverLoop, accessible from https://www.layoverloop.app.
You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Phone number and PIN code: These are collected solely for the purpose of sending a tip. To protect Your privacy, these are hashed (using SHA-256) and stored in an unreadable format in our database.
- Staff number: This may be collected but is entirely non-mandatory. It is subject to Your personal decision to include it when publishing a tip; it is never required to use the Service.
- Email address: Optionally collected if You choose to use the Personalized Layover Guide feature, so We can email Your guide to You. It may also be collected if You contact Us for support.
- Roster screenshots: If You opt in to the Personalized Layover Guide feature, You upload a screenshot of Your crew roster. The image is processed (via Optical Character Recognition and AI-based parsing) to extract city codes and dates so We can build Your personalized guide. Roster screenshots are deleted shortly after processing and are never used for any other purpose. We do not retain or share Your roster.
- Content You publish: Tips, comments, hotel ratings, and other contributions You voluntarily submit to the Service. This content is publicly visible to other users by design.
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as Your browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. Please note: We do not save Your IP address or Your specific location history.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device's unique ID, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
Information Collected while Using the Application
While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We may request, with Your prior permission:
Information regarding Your location
This access may be requested to enable features such as sorting the home page grid by "nearest first" or to access the "nearby city" feature via the app's long-press shortcut. The Application works fully without these features, and they are not vital functions. We do not save or store Your location on our servers.
Push notifications
If You enable push notifications, We may use Your device's notification token to send You updates such as new tips in cities You've bookmarked, new hotel ratings, or important Service announcements. You can disable push notifications at any time through Your Device settings.
You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through Your Device settings.
Tracking Technologies and Cookies
We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on Our Service and store certain information. Tracking technologies We use include beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze Our Service. The technologies We use may include:

Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
Where possible, We apply shorter retention periods and/or reduce identifiability by deleting, aggregating, or anonymizing data. Unless otherwise stated, the retention periods below are maximum periods ("up to") and We may delete or anonymize data sooner when it is no longer needed:
Account Information
- User Accounts: retained for the duration of Your account relationship plus up to 24 months after account closure.
Roster Screenshots
- Deleted shortly after processing, typically within 24 hours. Never retained beyond what is required to generate Your personalized guide.
Email Addresses (for Personalized Layover Guide)
- Retained as long as You wish to receive the service, deleted within 30 days of Your unsubscribe request.
Usage Data
- Website analytics data (cookies, device identifiers): up to 24 months from the date of collection. Note: IP addresses are not stored.
- Application usage statistics: up to 24 months.
- Server logs (access times): up to 24 months for security monitoring and troubleshooting purposes.
We may retain Personal Data beyond the periods stated above for different reasons:
- Legal obligation: We are required by law to retain specific data.
- Legal claims: Data is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Your explicit request: You ask Us to retain specific information.
- Technical limitations: Data exists in backup systems that are scheduled for routine deletion.
When retention periods expire, We securely delete or anonymize Personal Data.

We use Firebase services for application infrastructure, including push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), authentication, and crash reporting. Firebase processes device identifiers, push tokens, and diagnostic data.

We use Cloudflare for content delivery, DNS, and security (DDoS protection, bot mitigation). Cloudflare may process technical request metadata such as device type and approximate region for security purposes. We use Resend to send transactional emails such as Your Personalized Layover Guide and account-related notifications. Resend processes Your email address and the content of the email solely to deliver it.

We use OpenRouter to power AI-based features, including parsing the contents of Your roster screenshot to extract city codes and dates for the Personalized Layover Guide. The roster image and any extracted text are processed solely to generate Your guide and are not used for AI model training. OpenRouter may route requests to underlying AI providers under their respective terms.

Affiliate Links Disclosure
Our Service is completely free to use. However, some products or services featured on the Service may contain affiliate links (for example, eSIM providers). If You click on an affiliate link and make a purchase, We may receive a small commission from the vendor. This does not result in any additional cost to You. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16.
